Check this out! Harts Fabric

Don't remember exactly where I was on the web, but I ran into this great on-line fabric store: Harts Fabric!  (The have a bricks-and-mortar location, too, in Santa Cruz, California--but that's rather a long commute from League City, Texas!)

I've been slow to jump on the 'ordering-fabric-on-line-bandwagon' because, well, because I really like fondling fabrics. But let's face it, my local Hancock's and Joanne's just don't offer much variety of the high-end stuff--you know, the fabrics that are REALLY great to fondle.  They do seem to have a nearly endless supply of cheap polyester and fleece, and lots of quilting cottons, but other than that?  Not a whole lot.  My local quilt shops have wonderful selections of great quilting cottons (Tip of the hat especially to Sew Contempo on Egret Bay Blvd in Webster, Texas, the Painted Pony in LaPorte, Texas, and Quakertown Quilts in Friendswood, Texas) but sometimes I want a really nice linen, or silk, or rayon batik and those are much harder to find locally.

So come payday--Hart's Fabric, here I come!!!
