My son's wedding is coming up fast (July 4) and I'm just a little bit excited about it! Except I still don't know what I'm going to wear. Yeah, I found that cute dress and I thought that would be just great. . . .but I forgot two very important things.
1. Dresses. Don't wear 'em. The occasional mu-mu around the house doesn't count.
2. Knits. Don't like sewing them....and certainly have no business wearing them.
I remembered these very important things after I made the muslin of that dress. Went together nicely; it's a cute pattern (I like Very Easy Vogue) but then I tried it on. No no no. Knits drape very nicely, it's true--but they drape right over each and every little bump. The ones I'd like to emphasize and the others I'd rather not draw any attention to.
So, if I don't wear dresses, is it acceptable for the mother of the groom to wear pants????????? Otherwise, I've got a BIG problem!
